i keep getting an error that the security update for the above product cannot be installed from Microsoft updates…what the heck do i need to do to get these updates on my computer

For Christmas i am getting a laptop, i dont want it to coast a lot so i can have other thing too and i am going to college and will get a nice one then so this doesnt have to be top of the line. I want it to be arund 300-400 dollars and do all my facebook, itunes, and limewire stuff. also i need to have microsoft office for school things. what sutes me best? where do i need to tell my mom to look?? THANKS

Is there a way to change the auto-corrections in Microsoft Word for Mac?
For example, is there a way to change Word so that it realizes that I made a mistake when I type “monkay” and automatically changes it to “monkey”?
I know that in Microsoft Word if you accidentaly type “adn” it automatically corrects it to read “and”. I am wondering if you can add more words to this “automatic correction list.” How?
P.S. A response tailored towards Microsoft Word for Mac would be preferable, but a response from a PC user would be adequate.
if i have the older version of microsoft (2003) and recently purchased a newer version (home and student 2007) will I Iose all of my old documents by loading the new one? Or should I load all documents I want onto a flash drive in order to save them?
(since they I’ve heard you have to unload your older version in order to reload the new one?)

I am making a model for a food shop (for school) and I have created a combo box in Microsoft Excel with the different food I am selling. I have also created for the combo box so when you click on the item in the dropdown box, an image of the food appears. What I want to do is because the Combo box has a cell link with a number in it (for example the first thing i select has a cell link of one, second for two ect) I wanted to use an IF function to say “if the cell link is one make such a cell ?3.50″

There are all kinds of versions and suppliers out there. There are things that allow you to do unlimited numbers of downloads onto computers.
There are those that come on CD’s.
There are others that are on Memory Sticks (with unlimited downloads).
There are others that allow 2 computers to have a legitimate copy of Office.
All claim to have licenses.
All of them are well below the cost from Microsoft, but I do not want to do an anything illegal. Anybody know anything?
ok so for homework over the holidays i have this HUGE assignment that im doing on microsoft power point…

okay, i have this report to do. i typed it up but when i click print the page comes out blank! the ink is not old. i tried cleaning the ink nozzles. i do everything that i used to do to print, but it won’t work! please help me. if u need additional info please tell me. it is an hp D1400.
